Abstract EN

This study aims to determine the role of the academic, intellectual on political and social issues in the Algerian society, and the extent to which he represents his real role in thinking and criticism of power in crucial issues.

Through a set of circumstances that control his mission, his struggle against the authority that deliberate marginalization, contrary to what we find in many countries that have adopted in the development of the national competencies, in addition to difficult living and social conditions that affected his scientific production.

The problematic’s identity that he lives in the context of the intellectual crisis and the security situation that characterized the years of the nineties, many problems floundering by the intellectual limit his will to deliver his message to society and future generations.

At a time when Algeria is undergoing major political transformations, complex economic crises and upcoming elections, it is necessary to consider the intellectual especially the academic.
