Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to evaluate the teaching of social subjects at the primary level in the light of the overall quality standards by identifying their positive and negative aspects and the knowledge of the criteria that have been achieved and which have not been achieved in the following areas: Educational, teaching methods, accompanying activities, teaching aids, book language and output, and "book questions").

To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher prepared a questionnaire in the light of the literature and previous studies and the opinions of experts (10) experts in different disciplines to identify the paragraphs that represent the five areas covered through the evaluation process.

Distributed over the above mentioned areas.

The tool was then applied to a sample of (40) teachers and teachers of social subjects in primary schools in Wasit Governorate.

The researcher used the Kai box, the Pearson correlation coefficient, the weighted average, and the percentage.

The researcher found that all books were not based on objective scientific and field studies to determine students' levels, needs and problems that correspond to the stage they study.

The lack of accompanying activities mentioned in each chapter of the book, the language of the book intact, free of slang words,.

Most teachers rely on traditional teaching methods.

Most assessment methods are used to measure knowledge and do not measure other areas.
