The research handles ‘deletion’ as being an important, rhetorical, and textual style of speech that contributes clearly in the coherence and cohesion of the text.

Imam Ali (p.u.h) used it a marvelous use in Al-Ahd letter that he wrote to Malek Al-Ashter.

The reader will find his perfect, technical ability in the employing of deletion for the text.

Imam has employed different types of it: phrase, sentence, word, or letter deletion.

All that return to a reference linked with the text without defect or weakness in the structure.

But the deletion should be delayed for the reference in order to confirm and fix it in the factor’s mind.

After that, deletion comes for a part of speech to make the receiver do the task of linking the text.

He used the deletion of a phrase very frequently.

Here appears his high ability in systematizing the speech structure, because deleting a big part of the text requires skill and accuracy in order not to make defect in the structure of the text.

By this method, he took his words away from boring, lengthening, and nonjustified repetition.
