Abstract The author always wants to spread his ideas as widely as possible.

Publishing is the best way to show what the author's thoughts to the audience.

Publishing is often done by hiring a publisher to show the work to the public.

The problem concerning the protection of copyright has become one of the most important concerns of the owners of these rights.

In order to clarify the nature and obligations of the publishing contract, we have divided our research (The Publishing Contract: comparative study) into an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion.

The purpose of this study is: in the first topic is to explain the nature and concept of publishing contract which is divide it into two chapters.

In the first one is the concept of publishing contract and the second one is the nature and legal description of this matter, the subject dealt with the provisions and legal obligations arising from the contract of publication and divided it into two parts; firstly, on the obligations of the author and secondly, the obligations of the publisher.

In the conclusion, we presented the most important findings and recommendations we reached through this research
