The international community approved the right to resort to the military force within the responsibility to protect to prevent or put an end to the atrocities made on the population of a State, if the sovereign government is in the incapacity or the refusal to discharge its duty of protection.
Hence the pressing need to measure the impact of the responsibility for protection on the classical principles on which the building of the laws of the United Nations Organization is founded, in particular, the principle of the prohibition of the recourse to the force in the international relations.
By knowing that the responsibility to protect does not aim only at imposing the respect of the human rights as much as it is used with an aim of imposing an international legitimacy which was violated by the logic of the force and the promotion of the political interests to the detriment of the humane interest.

La communauté internationale a approuvé le droit de recourir à la force militaire dans le cadre de la responsabilité de protéger pour prévenir ou faire cesser les atrocités commises sur la population d’un État, dans le cas où le gouvernement souverain est dans l'incapacité ou le refus de s’acquitter de son devoir de protection.
D'où la nécessité impérieuse de mesurer l'impact de la responsabilité de protéger sur les principes classiques sur lesquels est fondé l'édifice des lois de l'Organisation des Nations-Unies, en particulier, le principe de l'interdiction du recours à la force dans les relations internationales.
En sachant que la responsabilité de protéger ne vise pas seulement à imposer le respect des droits de l'Homme, mais également à imposer une légitimité internationale qui a été violée par la logique de la force et la promotion des intérêts politiques au détriment des intérêts humanitaires.
