Abstract EN

For the protection of public procurement and the protection of public funds, the Algerian legislator has approved several laws and regulations that define public procurement offences and punish their perpetrators, especially the crime of nepotism and bribery, which is one of the most common crimes in public procurement and public service delegations.

Law 06/01.

on the prevention and control of corruption, is one of the most important laws that have dealt with this aspect and separated these crimes and put the appropriate punishment to them.

This comes within the framework of the rales of public governance, while at the same time it is considered as a response to the State's commitment in the framework of international relations in the fight against corruption in all its forms.

The Public Procurement and Public Service Delegation legislation established under Decree 15/274 has been complemented by incorporating new mechanisms to ensure optimal application of this legislation through the Public Procurement Control Authority which would promote the prevention and control of corruption in accordance with an integrated criminal policy in the field of public funds.
