Contrary to the old.

negative and hostile perception of the informal economy that has characterized the previous decades and which has emerged through restrictive or coercive measures (expulsion, confiscation of property and fines...), new approaches to better manage the informal economy are invented and played a crucial role in the economic development of African countries.

And to better clarify this new vision we have chosen to present six (06) cases of community interventions aiming at framing and improving the activities of the informal sector as contributing to local economic development, in terms of production, and also in terms of employment and poverty reduction, through which we aim to inspire community decision-makers and practitioners to create a more favorable environment for the informal economy in their region.
