Abstract EN

This study aims at diagnosing the reality of Information fatigue syndrome (IFS) as a sickness that has long been revealed by the information revolution with its modern techniques and its various uses.

Also, the study aims at identifying this phenomenon and its results to the strategic decision-maker in the enterprises case study.

The results showed the prevalence of this phenomenon in the enterprises case study which is not limited to a particular enterprise or particular decision-maker.

The strategic decider feels tired, confused and has difficulties to distinguish important information from the large amount of information.

The study recommends the necessity to build a preventive strategy to benefit from new technologies and suggests a profession called “Data Tracker or Gatekeeper” based on using most developed tools such as: Infometric, Data Mining and Text Mining.
