Diwan Wa'd Sariyyah (A valid promise) in general, and the poem "Safar Akhar" (Another Journey) in particular, are dominated by the narrative aspects.

The events in the poems grow and develop into complexity and then they dissolve gradually until the end.

Despite the fact that many critics argue that free verse is the most appropriate form for the narrative structure, for the absence of consistent meter patterns and rhyme, these poems are a unique model of poetic narratives in which Abdel Moneim Kamel was able to weave narrative textures in the construction of poetry characterized by beauty and accuracy of language.

He was able to dramatize scenes, without the restrictions of meter patterns and rhyme, using suggestive and evocative words.

Kamel's Poem is characterized by narrative aspects such as brief and intensive description along with the use of metaphors which are far from overstated.

The dramatic scenes form uninterrupted episodes through the poem, creating rhythm, movement and harmony, especially in the presence and absence of action.

The dialogue has an impact on the development of events in the Diwan in general and in the selected poem in particular.

It is a means of developing, shifting and arranging events.
