Abstract EN

Narration is one of the most important components of the human mind.

It exists in all times, places, and societies.

There is no society without narration.

Narration is one of the most important manifestations of expression of human creativity of tales, myths, maqāmat, stories and other literary genres that need to be an essential component of the creative components.

Based on this scientific thinking of the mind of the Arab writer, the researcher chose to study the narrative structure in this creative literary text, i.e.

the Maqāmah of Ibn Abi al-Khisal Andalusian.

From the narrative point of view, Ibn Abi al-Khisal's Maqāmah is a well-organized story in its composition, in which events take place in a particular scheme, which indicates the true creativity of its writer who appeared in the sixth century AH in Andalusia.

It was not a coincidence, for he (known as "Imam of writers in Andalusia") intended this type of literature to be seen in a form suitable for the Arab mind in Andalusia.

This research answers these questions: 1.

Is there narration in Arabic? 2.

Is maqāmah a short story or a novel-like genre? 3.

How do elements of the narrative structure appear in maqāmah? 4.

What are aesthetic and stylistic features of maqāmah?
