Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the effectiveness of teaching a developed course according to the Goleman's theory for the development of emotional intelligence, among students of the Faculty of Education, Sana'a University.

The researchers follow different tools such as a measure of emotional intelligence, the use of a quasi-experimental approach, a descriptive approach, a single-group design, pre- and post-application to carry out this study.

The researchers described and built a developed course according to Goleman's theory for developing emotional intelligence, which consisted of (60) third level students of the departments (Mathematics - English - Science) as an optional course during the second semester (2017-2018).

By the end of the semester, the same tool was applied and the results revealed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the results of the pre- and post-scale of emotional intelligence skills in favor of the post-scale.
