The operation of Investment in Algeria has been categorized as the first steps to economic.
However, this positive feature carries with it negative effects, especially with regard to the environment, which is considered most of the time free.
Therefore, the Algerian legislator interv ened in the environmental governance process to try to embody even some of its elements in the investment sector .

Le développement économique dépend en grande partie de l’investissement.
Cependant, tout développement économique peut entrainer des effets négatifs sur 1" environnement.
Pour limiter l'impact négatif de V investissement sur l'environnement, le législateur a posé quelques garde-fous comme le principe de participation pour concilier entre deux impératifs contradictoires: développement économique et protection de l'environnement.
