Abstract EN

The national legislations concerning protection of juveniles are in harmony with the international conventions and standards that deal with the same issue, such legislations operate within the framework of the restorative justice for applying laws and imposing penalties on juveniles in order to rehabilitate them.

In fact, the Juvenile correctional justice system aims to apply the penal penalty to the act committed, regardless of the societal and personal considerations of the juvenile offender and the extent to which he is integrated into society, and this has not achieved the goal of protecting juveniles.Hence there is a need that both national and international laws have to catalyze the idea of convergence between the parties to the criminal case to achieve a civil settlement and full reconciliation of social relations.

This system may contain the principle of victim s compensation, damage punitive penalty, as well as the reinvigoration of juveniles in the society.
