Abstract EN

The study aimed at recognizing the problems facing women in accessing to the parliament from the perspective of women members of the Jordanian Women's Union.

To achieve the aim of the study, a self administrated questionnaire was used to collect the data.

It was developed and distributed to a sample of (566), (443) out of them were found fit for statistical analysis.

The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS.16) was used to analyze the data of the questionnaire.

This study will answer the main question: what are the problems facing women in accessing parliament from the perspective of women members of the Jordanian Women's Union The most important findings of this study were the following: There are problems that women face in accessing the parliament from the perspective of women members of the Jordanian Women's Union highly.

The study recommends correcting the prevailing image of women in society by providing curricula, television programs and all media that raise the value and role of women and the need to educate the community about the importance of political development, women's support for women, participation of female candidates in courses and training programs in campaign management, communication skills voters, participating in political parties, providing financial support to female candidates, increasing the effectiveness of female deputies in the House of Representatives, and obtaining additional seats outside the quota by direct ballot.
