The study aims to analyze and evaluate the reality of the financial intermediation activity on the Algiers Stock Exchange, where the stock market is an important source of attraction for the savings of economic agents To be directed to more profitable areas and to ensure its viability and development, the level of financial intermediaries must be strong as natural persons or by They execute the orders and walk them to the financial portfolios and include them for companies and advise on investing in financial assets.

The study was highlighted on the Algiers Stock Exchange because it relied only on public banks to engage in financial intermediation, but more recently and in an effort to activate its securities market, it was approved for private banks to engage in financial intermediation, so the period of study was divided.

To two important periods, the first period in the period of the global financial crisis and the second period after the adoption of private banks.The study found that the financial intermediation activity on the Algiers Stock Exchange was generally ineffective because of the limited number of financial intermediaries accredited This is due to the limited number of listed companies as well as the concentration of the majority of financial intermediation institutions accredited to public banks.
