The European union and especially Eurozone was, and is still, one of the most important experiences leading in economic integration, Eurozone crisis put the union in big challenge to maintain and reinforce it.

This paper is an attempt to understand the Eurozone crisis and discusses the role of the economic policies in this crisis through three axes, the first about the European Union and the Eurozone, the second explains the relationship between global financial crisis and the beginnings of the crisis in the European Union, and the third one identifies the economic policies which can help to get out of the crisis.
