Abstract EN

Reproduction means that make one or more copies of a work, performance, sound recording or any part directly or indirectly, by any means, including electronic printing, photocopying, recording or permanent or temporary storage in electronic for work, performance or sound recording.

This right is considered to be an exclusive right of the author, a right that prevents the others from reproducing the work or any part of it without the written consent of the author.

Therefore, the Jordanian legislator approved this right in article (9) of the protection of the Jordanian Author’s right and Neighboring Rights Law No.

(22) for 1992, but in article (17/b) of the same law, an exception to it is stated in the possibility of reproducing the work for personal use, without to take the author's consent to reproduction.

Legal requirements have been raised in relation to the subject which was presented by the Jordanian legislator, raises many troubles in the Internet environment, which is characterized as a world wide web around the world, thus, the expressions of individual use are alien to the nature of the network itself, and the existing sites on it, the use of modern technological methods and techniques such as encryption, so that the user cannot reproduce the work, these problems prompted us to search it, we hope of the Jordanian legislature to interfere to modify the legal requirements which we pointed in this study.
