Abstract EN

The study aims to shed light on the translation from perspective of linguists: problems and solution strategies, particularly the problems and difficulties are facing the translator.

It also focuses on the views of linguists and theorists of language and translation studies on theories and strategies.

Furthermore, the study focuses on the translation strategies, methods and techniques employed by translator to solve these problems and difficulties.

The study deals with the views of linguist through a questionnaire answered by professors on languages and translation studies as well as specialized translators and non-specialized translators on the work field of translation.

The study shows that the practice of translation is a difficult endeavour that demands a translator with formidable capabilities to solve the problems he encounters by choosing the translation strategies, methods and techniques that best suits the translation texts.

The study concludes that direct and indirect translation strategies, along with other techniques, can be employed to address the problems translation.

Nevertheless, the translator should have qualified to do that work of translation
