Abstract EN

Criminal penalty by putting criminals under police surveillance is one the most important criminal sanctions that is meant to prevent the commission of crime.

The UAE legislator has dealt with penalty both as a sanction and a measure.

From the point of view of theory, this research aims at analyzing penal texts in the UAE and laying a proposal to amend them.

From the point of view of practice, the research aims developing this kind of penalty and the mechanisms of its implementation.

This is precisely the reason why we have chosen to deal with the subject of criminal penalty by putting criminals under police surveillance in the UAE penal code and its practical issues.

The most important question posed in this research whether or not penal provisions are consistent with the purpose of this penalty.

The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method for the study of legal texts, together with reference to French law, Egyptian law and some judicial applications.

The study is limited to the UAE law.

One of the most important findings and recommendations of this research is the importance of developing the concept of penalty by putting criminals under police surveillance, the mechanisms of its implementation, and the reformulation of legal texts to suit the nature of this penalty.
