Abstract EN

This research analyses the personal rules of the international jurisdiction of Emirati tribunals and tries to apply them to the conflicts that occur on the internet.

It aims to show the extent to which these rules are applicable and whether or not there is a need to align them with the modern development in the fields of information and communication technologies.

The research also aims at clarifying the difficulties facing the application of these rules, including the difficulty of defining the concept of home in an internet setting.

The research will equally try to answer two questions that may be raised in this regard.

The first concerns the application of personal jurisdiction rules to electronic disputes, whereas the second concerns the difficulties of applying these rules to this kind of disputes.
