Abstract EN

This study is entitled "Arabic language word structures between the original and extra characters, their meaning and functions to non- Arabic native speakers " The study aimed at stating the original and extra Arabic word structures as well as identifying the semantic changes which occur therein and showing functional changes in Arabic word structures.

The study also aimed at knowing the difficulties which face Arabic language learners in Arabic word structures, in terms of original and extra characters.

The researcher used descriptive approach and reached the most important results as follows: Morphology has a great feature in the expansion of Arabic language and its growth which is renewed through the pattern of the verb.

Arabic language word structure is the measurement of the word and its form which composed of a number of letters as well as its accusative and jussive forms, taking into account the original and extra characters therein and each in its place.
