Abstract EN

The study aims to identify the importance of education (free Arabic education) in Algerian society during the French occupation, because of its role in preserving the elements of identity and intellectual and cultural affiliation of the Arab and Islamic nation, as well as on the efforts made by the national elites of leaders, political activists and religious scholars Muslims, through the programs of parties and National Societies rejecting France's Western policies.
