Abstract EN

The Book of the Lamp in The Monotheistic Ways called (Kitab Al-Syraj in Tawhid) is a poetic piece of 465 verses in the necessary religious beliefs, logic and patterns of thought that monotheists should have.

From this text, we can see clearly that the author embraces the belief of the Ashari.

According to the last verses of the piece, its composition was completed in 1202 Hijri.

This book is one of the lasts in the field, if not the only one.

We've got this copy in a private library in 2005.

This study is the first study of this book and talks about important aspects of the manuscript, and it was in the context of its presentation as a document of the cultural history of the Western Sahara region.

Knowing the true identity of the author is one of the most important obstacles that the text poses.

In fact, we do only have his name and his surname mentioned in one of the last verses of the piece.

And not recognizing him as a well-known writer makes it more difficult.

As for the era in which the book was written, it was a period of prosperity for the Ashari belief, in which books and doctrinal references abounded in the Western Sahara region, and this makes this text a very important document.

It also shows a valuable effort for one of the writers of the region who wrote in this art.

In addition, it plays an important role in resolving the intellectual conflict between currents of belief in this period in favor of the Ashari's one and its ideology.
