Abstract EN

This research deals with the professional contributions of the social worker in confronting the problem of family disintegration by identifying the factors leading to family disintegration in Makkah al Mokerma city, whether they are self, family or societal factors, then determining the effects of family disintegration and its consequences on the family and its members, and also by identifying some mechanisms that protect the family from disintegration.

This study was applied through a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of social workers at the family counseling centers in Makkah.

There are 106 individuals divided into 72 males and 34 females through the social survey method by sample in the framework of the descriptive analytical study.

One of the most important results of the research is that drug addiction is the most important self-factor leading to family disintegration, and that lack of interaction between members of the same family is the most important family factor leading to family disintegration, and that the exit of women to work of the most important societal results leading to family disintegration.

The suffering of some family children from mental illnesses and their behavioral disorders and their academic impact are among the most important direct consequences of family disintegration.

And activating the role of social workers in family care institutions, and other various professional roles for them, which may help in the face of problems of family disintegration.
