This article deals with the role of criminal policy in realizing criminal justice through its characteristics and branches based on the reference of Islamic jurisprudence and according to the purpose of Sharia.

This research paper included the philosophy and significance of punishment in criminal legislation, the purpose of Islamic law regarding the issue of sanctioning, and the impact of Islamic criminal legislation on preserving and protecting the purposes of Sharia.
