English Abstract
The united Nations plays a prominent role in issues concerning the international community, particularly in matters relating to security, peace and the stability of international entities.
Since transnational organized crime undermines global stability, the United Nations has had to play its part in this area.
The United Nations has established the international legislative framework to combat transnational organized crime through several conventions in this area, most notably the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime in 2000.
The United Nations has not only taken the legal aspect of its fight against this crime, but has established specialized agencies entrusted to it, no matter how much it fights organized international crime.
