Engaging in the knowledge society in the first stage, and the knowledge economy in the second stage is a primary and decisive concern for all societies.
This has only become a criterion for the progress and prosperity of societies, and an intellectual, economic and educational reference, and a measure of their progress, through its transition from the traditional productive mode to integrative production, in which it becomes Knowledge is power, achieves development, sustainability and wealth creation.
The goals require many foundations, the most prominent of which is reflected in the availability of: human and intellectual capital, in addition to technology.
Based on this perception, this research paper will seek to address the problem of the potential of the Moroccan public school to enter the knowledge society and its economy.
Accordingly, the themes of this paper will be divided into: - Research concepts : - The status of mental capital in educational discourse; - The pillars of knowledge production; - Specifications of the knowledge factor (human capital); - Knowledge economy challenges in the field of education; - Conclusions and recommendations.
