Abstract EN

This article discusses the topic of the objection to the judgments issued in the civil cases redressed in presence before Magistrate Courts.

The importance of this study emanates from the discussion of a new method of appeal established by the Jordanian legislator in the Magistrate Courts Act No.23 of 2017.

Article 9 of this Act has regulated the rules relating to this method of appeal, which was unrecognized in the Jordanian law except in relation to criminal verdicts.

The Jordanian legislator has discussed how the objection will be presented, the procedures of its consideration by the concerned court, the implications of the submission of such an objection and the verdict issued as a result of this objection.
