Abstract EN

The present paper is an attempt at revisiting (AL-Misbah ALMunir) lexicon.

It will investigate the whereases of writing these lexicon ,and the explanations for the difficult words that the author was able to clarify .

It has become obvious that the author did face some difficulty in comprehending certain texts when he wrote “Ghareeb sharih AL- Wajeez” .

There fore ; when he wrote “AL-misbah” he adopted a different method of explanation and interpretation .Accordingly, he organized it inline with the way lexicons are arranged ,choosing the simplest example of these lexicons as well as the most famous one in terms of writing ,classification and division .

The circulation of “AL-Misbah” is evidence that the lexicon is successful and that the need for this reference is a proof that it constitutesa must – to – read reference in our Arabic heritage
