This research aims at studding the reality of the environmental education collated to the contents of all the courses of the primary stage in Iraq for the year 2000-2001 and which analyses pages were (4458) distributed 011 (11) courses .
The style of analyzing the content was followed to achieve the aims of the research.
The instrument of the research which deals with the environmental education included (20) sections distributed 011 the cognitive, behavioral and emotional fields.
The validity of the instrument was proved by submitting it to group of experts in education and psychology and which was proved to be (58%).
The most important result which was conciliated that science textbooks got the highest rate which was (43.9%) while the Arabic grammar textbooks got lesser rate which was (0.4%) the researcher recommend eel that there should be a kind for the concepts of the environmental education.
