Algerian cinema dates back to the early beginnings of international cinema.
Algeria has been the scene of cinema since its inception in the late 19th century.
The Lumière was commissioned to photograph scenes from Algeria.
Before the war of liberation until 1946, Algeria had only a photographic interest In 1947, the French created a cinematic interest that produced a number of short films that were presented and translated mostly into the colonizer's language.
