Abstract EN

There is much discussion and disagreement in recent times about the term (Arabic Literature of Diaspora).

Some critiques attempted to forge a different term which is literature of exile, while others speak about what they called New Literature of Diaspora.

This multiplicity of terms, though, seems not to be developed on deepened consideration of Iraqi Literature of Diaspora, either in its old or new manifestations.

Arabic Literature of Diaspora would be characterized by the usage of two traditions: its own tradition, i.e.

the tradition of writer’s original nation, and the tradition of the receiving nation.

It was natural to see differences in both terms of conceptions and creativity.
