Abstract EN

As a result of recent progress in Saudi Arabia changes and concomitant pressures on natural ecosystems and affecting the moral on the sustainability of natural resources, spatial changes in Earth's natural appearance especially coastal environments, this study focused on the current environmental situation, monitoring and analysis of spatial changes of the Shuaiba coastal environment.

In light of this study was to analyze the spatial changes of coastal environments in the Shuaiba (South of Jeddah) for the period from 2002 to 2008 to assess the environmental characteristics of the place and the activities and determine its impact on the coastal zone of the special nature and circumstances are very sensitive to spatial changes, the current study is based on field survey data for monitoring the current status of environmental properties in Shuaiba, and data visualization to the French satellite SPOT 5 and US satellite Landsat TM 5 and 7 to monitor rates of changes Different spatial along the coast of the study area.

The study showed the importance of using space visualization and analysis of technical feasibility of its application in tracking spatial changes of coastal environments with plant coverage areas and increased pollution and waste thermal pollution in water body near the desalination plant.
