Water is important for mankind, animals, plants, industry and all areas of development, though man has been reckless about the use at natural water by all means.

That was because of the small number of in habits and the permittivity of knowledge and science.

World population rate is increasing which means that thereque bigger and demed for water as well.

Saudi Arabia suffers from water problems at the present time; the shortage of water resources, the increasing population, and the rapid industrial progress in the kingdom.

This situation has resulted in a big demand for water.

Hence an idea was initiated for finding new sources of water to support the natural water resources.

Making use of modern technology, the government thought of desalination.

The first steps in establishing a water industry and sed water desalination projects were made through building two water desalination plants in 1969, in the cities of Wajh and Doba, which lie on the western coast of the kingdom.

Other desalination plants were established one after another, so that there are now 27 water desalination projects which produce more than 750 million gallons at potable water daily.

Some of these projects are of dual purpose; for besides producing drinking water, they produce electricity, 4000 MW of electric power has been produced from water desalination plants.

The researcher has come up with same recommendations.

These recommendations can contribute in consuming water in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They are as follows: 1- Constructing dams on big valleys.

2- Using the treated swage water in agriculture, industry and for washing in homes.

3- Up dating and maintaining water pipe line of the cities.

4- In stalling water meter in houses, and factories.
