The region of the Euphrates Island was distinguished by a great economic richness, so agriculture, industry, crafts, and trade as well as important roads, centers and commercial goods formed an important resource for this region.

Its regions are rich in fruits, trees, and eyes.

These crops are watered in places and the machines are used to raise water to the high areas.

There are areas planted with grains, cotton, and other fruitful trees.

Likewise the roses and the winds, Sinjar was famous for cultivating sesame, planting cotton in Harran, Oraban, Ras al-Ain, Nusaybin, and planting roses of various kinds in the Heet and Tikrit region, Nusaybin and the village of Bashiqa.

As for loss, most of them were not.

Hamdan represented by Nasir state, also enjoyed the abundance of fish for the presence of Tigris and Euphrates rivers and Alzaban in addition to the eyes.

Among the crafts and industries that were widespread on the Euphrates Island are knitting, cultivation and wool comb, which do not need skill, as the craftsmen lived in one locality or their own market.

There are cities famous for metallurgical industries, such as Amad, Nusaybin, Harran, and Zabtara, as a result of the availability of metallic copper and iron, as these two minerals were used to make pots and other things, and other industries appeared, such as food industries, engraving, engraving, perfume, and soap.

Trade was well-known in the region as a result of factors, including its occurrence in a central region between Iraq, the Levant, the Romans, and Armenia.

It formed a corridor for caravans to these areas, which helped to diversify, provide, and cheaply trade merchandise goods.

The agricultural and industrial products of the Euphrates Island itself formed a center for commercial exchange and among the most famous commercial centers: Mosul, Al-Raqqa, Mayafraqin, Amed, Denizar, Al-Rahba, Ibn Omar Island, and Arzun, in addition to the importance of trade routes and the commodities they trade in.
