Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of Tobruk University’s role in developing citizenship values from the students' point of view.

Where the researchers used the descriptive analytical method, and to achieve the goal of the study, a questionnaire was prepared, which included (39) items.

The sample of the study consisted of 60 students from the Faculty of Arts who are studying in the academic year 2019/2020, The study showed that the concept of citizenship among students is that the individual knows what rights and duties he has.

In light of the results, the researchers recommended a set of recommendations, the most prominent of which is that the methods used in the university prevail over love, feelings of emotional sympathy, cooperation and a sense of responsibility towards students to help this self-development and students' achievement.
