This study was conductcd to investigate the efl'ect of different nitrogen fertilization rates ( 0,0.5 and 1 g urea /plant) applied to Cosmos sp and different irrigation rates (30,60, 90 cmVplant) applied to Kochia scoparia on development of Aphis gossypn.

The aphid density was significantly higher at rale 0.5 g urea/plant than control Aphid density was not significantly different between 0.5 and 1.0 g urea/plant There were no significant effect resulting from aphid feeding on the plant height.

increased significantly in non-infested plants compared with infested ones The aphid density was significantly higher at irrigation rate of 60 cmVplant/day compared with other irrigation rates Plant height of Kochia scopana was decreased significantly in infested plants compared with non-mfested ones.
