Abstract EN

The current study was concerned with determining the remarkable aspects of the behavloraliy extremist individual through identifying fhe relationships among behavioral extremism, personality disorders and perceptual processes disorder represented and perceptual processes disorder represented in working memory components and attention processes the study problem was stated in the following question : is the practice of some people to the extremist behavior implied by rejecting others considered a true function to the psychological and cognitive perceptual structure disorder? or this extremist behavior is an outcome of economical and social conditions of those people? this study was conducted on a group of economical on a group of government officials who suffered from nard of economical conditions.

extreme behavior scale , prepared by the researcher .was administered.

the subjects with higher and lower extremism on the irrational beliefs scale , scl-90 .aggression scale, working memory tasks (simple and complicated visual search).

the sample lower extremism were 15 officials.

the result of the study affirmed that individual s wtth higher extremism in their psychological characteristics had irrational beliefs and pathological- somatic symptoms, compulsive obsession , interactive sensitivity .depressive.inclinations and neurotic anxiety .

they were more critic to others and felt more guilt .

in their performance on attention working memory tasks .they showed weakness in the performance accuracy the tasks of simple and complicated visual search , digit span .word span and stroop phenomenon effect.

there were no differences between the two groups in the performance rapidity on the tasks of working memory and attention and on the psychosis symptoms, self-criticism and aggressive paranoid'.

in general .the current study found an association between behavioral extremism and the disorder in the measured personality aspects and the disorder in performing working memory and selective attention tasks.
