This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of the projects related to reforming education in the State of Kuwait from a scientific and objective manner; through focusing on the perceptions’ of educators (i.e., teachers, school administrators, and subject matter technical supervisors) towards the initiatives from three perspectives: (1) their awareness level, (2) their interest/need level, and (3) their satisfaction level.
A descriptive research design was used to achieve the objectives of this quantitative study.
A stratified random sample of 1062 participants (i.e., 451 teachers, 305 administrators, and 306 technical supervisors) participated in this research.
In order to achieve the study’s objectives, a survey was constructed and then evaluated by experts.
Once the data were collected, they were subjected to statistical analysis to answer the research questions.
The findings of this study revealed clearly that the level of awareness among the educators regarding the educational reform projects was low; their level of interest/need in these projects was somewhat moderate; and their level of satisfaction with them was also low.
In addition, the results confirmed that the need to aware educators about such projects is a necessity because the degree of familiarity (awareness level) is significantly and positively highly correlated with the level of interest/need and the level of satisfaction as well; the findings also indicated that the level of interest/need in these initiatives is very essential because it is significantly and positively highly correlated with the level of atisfaction too.
Moreover, the results also showed the existence of statistically significant differences among the participants’ perceptions with respect to the independent/factor variables (i.e., gender, educational district, age, nationality, category, qualification, years of experience, educational stage, major, and level of knowledge/skills in using ICT media, tools, and services).
Nevertheless, the findings evidently indicated that there was a very broad convergence of views and responses among all participants.
