Abstract EN

The idea of transition "takhallus" which was bom in the 3rd H.C launched from observing the "formula" and the "gap" in the structure of the old Arabic Qasida (i.e the Jahilee and Islamic followed as well).It came on a time in which the structure of the qasida had been decreased gradually from a three-slides structure to a dichotomus one: nasib and madih.

Thus, the item used by critics of this era -takhallus- to rule the process of connecting the parts of the qasida in their period and-with the same concept-the old qasida, came confused, and the critical judgments built upon it were unspecific.

This paper reveals that the formulas "da dha", "salli" (and equivalents) picked up as means of transition by the Abbasian critics were not exceptions in the old Arabic poetry which employed a lot of formulas anywhere in the qasida.

These formulas were not only special for transition in the madih qasidas, but also used for connecting in qasidas of several motifs such as: fakhr, hijaa, rithaa and gazal.

The spot of the mentioned formulas was not the only one for tahkhallus, on the contrary, the connecting means were there, on every spot between each two motifs or sub-motifs, and of rich forms in quality and quantity .
