English Abstract

This paper aims to study The Degree of Effectiveness of Graphic Design in the Digital Marketing and Promotion of the Jordanian Tourism Sector, and its role in attracting target audiences (potential tourists), from both specialists’ point of view (graphic design, marketing) and potential Jordanian and foreign tourists’ point of view.

It sheds the light on tourism websites and digital advertisements that apply modern graphic design trends.

In order to achieve the study goals, the researcher conducted an analysis of multiple Jordanian tourism websites and analyzed digital tourism advertising campaigns on social media and search engines.

The researcher then clarified and analyzed negatives and positives and developed solutions and conclusions that can be implemented to improve the efficiency of websites and digital advertising campaigns, where the evaluation of the website and digital advertising campaigns is an essential phase in their design and construction.

Then, the researcher completed another evaluation by the development of an evaluation tool to measure the effectiveness of graphic design in digital marketing and promotion within the Jordanian tourism sector.

The evaluation tool (potential tourist questionnaire) and (specialists questionnaire) were built to focus on the current study and includes seven measures: The importance of digital tourism, the degree of effectiveness graphic design in the process of marketing and digital promotion within the Jordanian tourism sector, the degree of efficiency of Jordanian websites and advertising campaigns, the degree of effectiveness of using search engines and social media, Jordanian tourist travel agencies use search engines and social media to achieve the following goals, the effectiveness of using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, the use of keywords, search engine advertisements like Google Ads, and social media advertisements by Jordanian travel agents.

This was completed after ensuring the validity and reliability of the evaluation tool.

The study researcher also designed a Jordanian tourist website based on a sound strategic plan which aims to emphasize on the important role of graphic design in digital marketing and promotion within the Jordanian tourism sector, in terms of the role of design in the success of digital marketing and promotion, the importance of interactive design in Jordanian websites, and the ease of use in obtaining user’s desired information which helps to target audience and attract tourists.

Also, the focus on using keywords for the tourist website to improve website efficiency and increase the number of visitors and the spread of the website, which leads the website to present in the first results page in Google search engine
