English Abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of teacher training during their service in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate and how it affects the professional development from their point of view, The study population will consist of all government school teachers in the Education Directorate of Jerash Governorate for the academic year (2019/2020) The number (3098) teachers.
A random sample of (381) teachers were chosen which consist of (148) males and (233) females that’s to achieve the objectives of the study, the resolution used as a data collection tool.
Its honesty and reliability were confirmed.
The results of the study showed that both the level of in-service teacher training in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate and the level of professional development of teachers came moderately (in a Moderate degree).
The results showed a positive correlation with statistical function between the level of in-service teacher training in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate and their level of professional development.
The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α 2,25( ≥ in the study sample population estimates as attributable to the gender variable.
and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0,05) attributed to the variable of educational qualification in all fields With the exception of the field of the training program plan and its goals, the differences came in favor of the undergraduate and less, And for variable years of experience in all fields.
The differences were in favor of (10) years or less And for variable training courses in all fields, except for the training program plan and goals, And the content of training programs and the level of professional development of teachers, and the differences have in favor of (5) years or even less, Based on the results of the study, a number of recommendations were made.
Most notably: the need to train teachers during the service continuously and intensively thus contributing to their increased level of professional development.
