Abstract EN

The population of the sty is all the University of Anbar students who enrolled in the morning undergraduate study for the academic year 2018-2019.

The population is consisted of 19613 male and female students distributed according to specialization, grade, and gender, as follows: the number of students of scientific specialties reaches 6875 male and female students which represents 37% of the population, whereas the number of students of humanities specialties reaches 11946 male and female students which represents 63% of the population.

The number of students in all four grades (first, second, third, and fourth) reaches (5835, 5117, 3362, and 4507) male and female students respectively, with ratio (31%, 27%, 18%, and 24%) respectively of the population of the study.

The gender variable, the male students were 9026 represented 48% of the population, and 9795 female students represented 52% of the population.

Using SPSS to collect the data of the study, the researchers revealed the following: 1- The university students have high level of extremism.

2- The university students have high level of life satisfaction.

3- There is a statistical significance negative correlation relationship between extremism and life satisfaction, that means, the greater the level of extremism, the less satisfaction with life and vice versa.

In light of the results of the study, the researchers put forward numbers of recommendations and suggestions.
