Abstract EN

This study aims at exploring the Omanian experiment in short short stories, seeking to reveal one of the writers in this field, as well as studying one of these experiences by acritical analysis of a group of short short stories entitled “Serinmat” by Waleed AL_Nabhani.

The study will define the most important features of this collection, starting by the significance of the title implications.

Also, the use of paradox in order to involve the readers emotionally in the presented phenomenon.

Beside the effective utilization of intertextuality in the production of secretive challenging stories.

Further more, the condensed contexts of the stories; by the use of symbolism, made the collection very over whelmed with reflections that the new symbols radiate.

This study will emphasize on the intentionality the writer is seeking by enfolding his themes and presenting them in the form of short short stories.

And it will shed light on his perspectives about controversial issues in the Omanian society.

The descriptive analytical approach was used in analyzing the data.

The research will show that; in spite of the shortness, and intensification of this literary style, the writer has skillfully managed to use the available techniques to establish his intentionality in preserving the ancient Omanian heritage, and to fulfill his cultural and educational goals
