Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the extent to which the faculty members and their assistants benefited from the electronic databases available at Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University.

Measuring the extent to which the databases meet their research needs.

This study was applied to the Faculty of Arts - Library and Information Department.

The researchers followed the analytical descriptive method and the case study to achieve the objectives of the study.

The data were analyzed by calculating percentages and frequency of the study.

A questionnaire was designed to collect data containing three axes and (35) questionnaires were distributed to all faculty members and assistants in the library and information department.

The study showed a high rate of use (93.7%) compared to non-use rate, The study recommended the activation of the role of the specialized committee in the Deanship of Library Affairs by publishing lists and letters to inform the members.

And the establishment of an internal committee emanating from the scientific committee in the department to participate in the development of proposals and plans to choose the appropriate rules for the specialization of libraries and information and the first year.
