Abstract EN

Japan occupies an important place in the strategies of the United States of America, especially the security strategies, due to its geographical position that locates it among its competing opponents with whom it had conflicts before and after the Cold War.

Japan was keen on establishing agreement and technological cooperation as well as cultural exchange to organize its relations with the United states and ensures that its interests are in concord with the values of capitalism which the United States adopts.

Further, Japan endeavoured to make sure that other nations with which it had conflicts would not interfere in its affairs since America is aware that its regional security in East Asia depends on its being in control, the development of its defense and economical strategies and making of Japan a trusted ally.

Therefore, the American security policy towards Japan is of great importance to make of the latter an ally that supports its values and goals.

Japan has gained an economical power, therefore, it is very difficult for other countries including America to interfere.

At the same time, Japan is tied down by several agreements devised by America that limited its military abilities.
