Abstract EN

Social networks have become one of the most important and stimulating factors for intellectual, political, social and psychological changes.

They have become an effective contribution to the dissemination of information and the speed of reaching as many users as possible.

After the traditional media placed the Arab citizen in the place of the consumer and the simple spectator, Around the receiver to the transmitter at the same time through the interactive possibilities.

The need to study the social networks and their communicative effects on intellectual security in society as seen by the Iraqi elites, as the intellectual security is linked to the national security that achieves the stability of the state and preserve its unity, beliefs and culture, thus achieving social cohesion and communication between the different segments of society and sects.

On the security of individuals and homeland security, and because social networks have become the main tools for dialogue between individuals and peoples, so this study to identify the effects of social networks on the security of intellectual in Iraqi society.

In this research, the survey was based on the descriptive approach of the survey to answer research questions, analytical analysis of the research hypotheses, and to identify the opinions of the Iraqi elites about the contributions that can be made to the security of the Iraqi intellectual society using the social networks.

A 250-sample sample was chosen for the Iraqi elite from faculty members of Iraqi universities, media professionals and some religious preachers.

The researcher came out with a set of conclusions, recommendations and suggestions.
