Abstract EN

This study sought to explore the applicability of Total Quality Management at the faculties and departments of Hotels and Tourism Management in 12 Jordanian public and private Universities.

The population of the study consisted of all the students, 3046.

A sample of 491 students was selected.

Data was collected using questionnaires and it was analyzed using the Descriptive Analysis and Analysis of Variance.

The study revealed that the level of applying Total Quality Management was high in all dimensions.

In addition there were significant differences between the public and private universities in applying Total Quality Management, in favor of private universities.

One of the most important recommendations is that universities should focus on matching the pedagogical and educational processes with the demands of the sector of Hotels and Tourism market.
