This study treats rains in pre-Islam poetry-it treated rain in as¬tronomers, astrologers and philoso¬phers the claimed that rain formed form damp vapour that ascended to sky .
Then the study treated rain in holy Koran which is seen as : life , death , revival , grace, bliss , and torture .
It is the origin of existence-Then it handled the important trea¬tise about rain .
The pre - Islam peo¬ple anticipated rain and lightening .
Then it handled dryness and hot weather in the Arab Peninsula.
To them the rain was the origin of life and a rescuer.
The study ended by showing the relation between the rain and the wind.
In holy Koran the wind is as¬sociated with rain.
The rainy wind is the southern wind.
