The aim of the study was to reveal the degree of administrative practices of primary school administrators in the light of the requirements of the knowledge economy community and the challenges facing them in Oman, and to identify the most prominent challenges faced by the managers of the Sultanate of Oman schools in playing their roles according to the requirements of the knowledge economy society.

For the purpose of data collection, the researchers prepared a study tool, which was designed to reveal the degree of administrative practices of primary school administrators in light of the requirements of the knowledge economy society, the study was applied to a sample of the school managers in the Sultanate, whose number reached 125 in light of gender variables, years of experience and scientific qualifications.

he study reached a number of results, including the degree of administrative practices of primary school administrators in light of the requirements of the knowledge economy community, which came to a great extent at an average of 4.50 years.

There were no statistically significant differences in the degree of administrative practices of primary school administrators in the light of the requirements of the knowledge economy society, depending on gender variables, scientific qualifications and years of experience.

The study recommended a few recommendations, including: Training school managers in the management practices required in the light of the knowledge economy community, focusing on the new roles of the manager to be supportive and developed in school knowledge, providing schools with appropriate software to disseminate the necessary knowledge, and inviting school administrators to use e-mail and the messaging system to disseminate and share knowledge.

The focus of school administrators is also on monthly bulletins for educational developments within and outside the school.
